Paolo has hairdressing in his blood. As a third-generation hairdresser, he followed in the footsteps of his father Aaron Giamattei and his grandfather Bruno Giamattei Snr, who founded the Marc Antoni Salon Group almost 60 years ago, in 1966. His uncle is also JOICO EMEA Creative Director, Bruno Giamattei.
Joining in 2018, Paolo Giamattei is the newest member of the Marc Antoni Art Team. Based at the Marc Antoni salon in Fleet alongside fellow Marc Antoni Art Team member and British Hairdressing Awards ‘Colour Technician of the Year’ 2022 Dan Spiller, Paolo has built-up a strong and loyal clientele. Although he is the youngest member of the team, he has already worked on a variety of photoshoots, and recently presented at Salon International to great acclaim. Achieving a well-earned spot as one of the finalists for ‘Newcomer of the Year’ 2022 at the British Hairdressing Awards with his Kalos Collection, he is certainly one to watch!
Working with JOICO
As part of the JOICO EMEA Artist Team, Paolo is a rising star who seeks to share the knowledge he’s learned from others by supplementing his own qualifications with external courses and inspire the next generation of hairdressers. He says, “Hairdressing is my passion, I love the way that you can completely transform someone, not only making them feel great, but look fantastic too. My aim as an educator is to share my skills, passion, and drive with others. I can’t wait!”
